My Order

 

Help! I’ve just placed an order but need to make a change?

If you have made a mistake with your order, please contact us as soon as possible either by phone on +44 (0)1604 379 011 or by e-mail selecting ‘urgent amend to order’. If your order has not yet been packed by our warehouse we will do our best to make any amendments. There is no guarantee however once the order has been despatched we are unable to change any address details.

 

I haven’t received a confirmation e-mail?

Our confirmation e-mails are generated automatically and are sent out shortly after your order has gone through. If you have not received one, it could be because there is a mistake in your e-mail address, or that the order was not completed. Please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will be happy to help.

 

Does your website have a Wedding List?

Unfortunately, our website does not have a Wedding List.

 

What are our opening hours for order processing?

You may place orders online at any time; order processing will take place during week day working hours (09:00-17:30 Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays and company shutdowns).

Oh no, it’s out of stock, will you be getting any more?

If we are getting any further deliveries of an item it will be available online to pre-order. If an item is shown as out of stock, then we will unfortunately not be getting any more new stock in. However, there is always the chance we may receive some returns back in so it is always worth checking back on the website! We are not able to email when an item becomes available.

 

How will I know about new products and promotions?

Please sign-up to our newsletter and you will be eligible to receive e-mail updates on new products, sales, events and other special announcements.

 

What kind of bone is used in making your kitchenware?

Our china is manufactured with a type of soft-paste porcelain, which contains greater than 35% Tri-Calcium Orthophosphate. This makes our china extremely durable and cannot absorb fluids or food. The processing of the china results in a beautiful translucent white appearance, which is considered among the best type of porcelain in the industry.

 

Where is your China clay sourced from?

Our British white-firing China clay is sourced in Cornwall.

 

Why is your kitchenware only available in a glazed finish?

Products are glazed to give a smooth, glossy surface that is resistant to wear and tear and detergent attack, is hygienic and easy to clean. Do any of your glazes contain lead? None of our glazes contain lead.

 

How many dishwasher cycles will my kitchenware survive?

Provided that the ware-washing machine is operating as specified in its manual, and best-practice is followed in its loading and unloading, our kitchenware will withstand many hundreds of washes.

 

Our Packaging

 

Can I make a special request with my packaging?

We don’t currently offer any special packaging requests.

 

Will my product be safe in transit?

We have many years’ experience in packaging items for postal delivery. All products are delivered to you in heavy duty cardboard, branded boxes which have been specifically designed to protect your item.

 

Shopping

 

What is VAT?

VAT (Value Added Tax) the standard sales tax applied to good within the UK. All prices include VAT (where appropriate), and our VAT number is 243 815 312.

 

How can I claim VAT for my order?

To reclaim VAT, customers should contact our customer care team at careteam@meredithengland.com and request a VAT receipt which the can then submit to HRM Customs and Excise. We do not have the facility to deduct or refund VAT ourselves.

How can I amend my e-mail preferences?

You will receive e-mails from us once you place an order or signup our the newsletter. If you’d like to unsubscribe from our e-mail newsletter please do so by clicking the link within the e-mail itself. This will only affect marketing emails; you will still receive those relating to any orders placed.
